Image of the Moment
Image # 188. Lions in the Namib Desert are not dependent on water. They can live for many months in areas where there is no access to surface water. The Hoanib Floodplain lionesses have been followed and observed for several thousand hours over the past 7 years and they were seen drinking water for the first time on 10 March 2012 at the Mudorib waterhole in the Hoanib River.
